Nursery Provision at St Paul's
Morning Nursery Sessions - 8:50-11:50am
Our morning nursery is a maintained school nursery and places in the morning nursery are offered to eligible 3 year olds who want to claim 15 hours of free childcare per week. Places for this nursery need to be applied for through the Local Authority and children may be awarded a place in the September after they turn three. Morning nursery places are limited to 26 places. For more information on applying for a morning nursery place, please speak to Mrs Baker in the school office.
30 hours Childcare Offer
From September 2017, eligible families of 3 year olds may be able to claim 30 hours of free childcare per week. At St Paul's, this will be offered as a morning and an afternoon session (6 hours per day) for 38 weeks of the year (term time only). Our afternoon nursery session will run from 12:00 - 3:00pm and the children will remain in the same room for the whole day if attending for 6 hours. There will be a 10 minute change over period from 11:50 - 12:00 where the morning children go home and the afternoon children arrive. This time is supervised by the afternoon nursery staff and we ask for a voluntary contribution of £1 for this time.
If you think you may be eligible for an afternoon nursery place for 30 hours, please call the school office and speak to Mrs Elphick (Admin Assistant) or make an appointment to see Mrs Payton, our afternoon nursery manager.
Before and After-School Club
Children who are eligible for the 30 hours of free childcare may use the school's before and after school club. Please see the Before and After School Club page for more information.
From September 2017, we will be offering a limited number of afternoon places for Rising 3 children. These are children who turn 3 between September and December. These sessions run each afternoon from 12:00 - 3:00pm during school term time only and cost £15 per session. We ask that parents book for a minimum of three sessions per week. If you are interested in a Rising 3 place for your child, please call the school office and make an appointment to speak to Mrs Payton, our afternoon nursery manager.
